FROM VIDEO TO ENVIRONMENT
Originally developed as a two-hour video work,
Heart Mandala later became the video sky of
Buddhaverse.
What began as an exploration of inner space
expanded into a physical and digital environment,
inviting viewers to move through the imagery
rather than simply observe it.
HEART MANDALA
2018-2020 | VIDEO ART / MEMORY, IDENTITY AND INNER LANDSCAPES
Heart Mandala emerged from an ongoing investigation into how experience shapes perception, emotion, memory, and identity. Drawing from dance, neuroplasticity, psychology, and Tibetan mural traditions, the work transforms these questions into an immersive visual landscape.
Where Whale explored darkness and inner tension, Heart Mandala reflects a different stage of that inquiry—one characterized by vitality, openness, and compassion.
Through movement, color, symbolic imagery, and shifting forms, Heart Mandala explores how memory, experience, and imagination participate in shaping our sense of self.
